In a devastating turn of events, Colette Dennis, a dedicated Reading borough councillor, has passed away unexpectedly mere weeks after securing her re-election in the Norcot ward. Colette, aged 60, sadly succumbed to her illness at John Radcliffe Hospital on June 9.
Last Wednesday, Colette unexpectedly fell ill in Reading and was swiftly transported to the hospital in Oxford, where she fought for her life for two days before ultimately passing away. Left behind are her loving husband, two sons, and two grandchildren, who now mourn the loss of their cherished family member.
Colette’s journey as a Norcot ward councillor began with her initial election in May 2022, and she had recently celebrated another victory in the local borough elections held the previous month. Furthermore, she held the esteemed role of Deputy Mayoress as the spouse of Deputy Mayor Glenn Dennis.
In this time of sorrow, ReadingWest extends our deepest sympathies to Colette Dennis’ family and friends.
