ReadiPop Festival is back with an exciting lineup announcement for this summer’s highly anticipated event. Taking place in July, the festival promises a fantastic lineup that will captivate music lovers.
Headlining this year’s festival is the talented songwriter and rapper, Professor Green. Known for his unique blend of grime and hip hop, Professor Green infuses dance and electronica influences into his music. Joining him on stage is the renowned hip hop trio, Jungle Brothers, who have been seamlessly combining house, jazz, and rap since 1987.
Fans of Sleeper will be delighted to see the band return to the stage following their reunion in 2017. After touring their celebrated 1996 album, The It Girl, Sleeper will grace the festival with their iconic sound.
Mercury Prize-winning DJ and producer, Roni Size, will also be part of the lineup, bringing his infectious sets that blend reggae, jungle, big beat, and hip hop influences. Rounding off the announcement is the London-based post-punk outfit, Snapped Ankles. Their unique and misanthropic style, described as a fusion of warehouse parties, Lightning Bolt, and Morris Dancing, promises an unforgettable performance.
In addition to the incredible music lineup, Readipop Festival offers a variety of attractions, including locally-brewed ales, craft beers, an indie urban market, and arts and workshops spread over three days. The festival aims to support artists and young people in Reading through various programs and initiatives, with all proceeds going towards Readipop’s charitable work. This includes operating a music label that provides career support, skills development, and access to musical equipment and spaces for aspiring musicians.
