Locals in Norcot, Reading, label a section of Brisbane Road as “dangerous,” expressing dissatisfaction with its current state. The situation has worsened in recent weeks, with three nearly consecutive large potholes on the road.
During Readingwest’s visit this morning to capture images, numerous motorists and pedestrians halted to voice their concerns about the road’s condition. One motorist lamented, “My mother complained a while ago to the council, but they seem indifferent, mate.”
A pedestrian informed us about his car being damaged, and while on-site, two more individuals shared similar experiences.
This issue not only causes inconvenience and financial strain but also sparks worries about road safety. The prevailing sentiment among locals is a demand for a complete repair of the road.
Readingwest has taken action by contacting Reading Borough Council with our findings, sharing the images taken and formally reporting the issue.
