Caversham’s hidden gem, Caversham Court Gardens on the bank of the River Thames. Owned and cared for by Reading Borough Council with support from The Friends. Open and accessible to all every day except Christmas Day from 8.0 a.m. to dusk, entry free.

The gardens won the prestigious Green Flag Award, as well as listed as Grade II in the National Register of Historic Parks and Gardens, Caversham Court Gardens won the Green Heritage Site award again in 2018. The Green Flag singles out parks that are clean, well run, and welcoming, and the Green Heritage Site accreditation shows the history of the site is valued and conserved, and that people are helped to appreciate it.

Enter our photography competition to mark the 10th anniversary of the re-opening of the gardens following extensive refurbishment work supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund.
