With Less 10 Days To Go, Britain’s Most Enchanting Festival Is Now Taking Shape In The Heart Of Rural Oxfordshire
It’s nearly here… there’s a definite vibration rumbling through the ground…and somewhere not too distant, a steady stream of trucks is rolling into beautiful Great Tew Park to start building the loveliest intimate festival in the country.
A festival so civilised you don’t even have to put up your own tent if you don’t want to. A festival where washing oneself or eating food other than a Twix or a GrottBurger from the back of a filthy van are all considered perfectly reasonable activities and not examples of bourgeois decadence…
So – what a relief, and how nice to come to Cornbury and meet lovely people.
Oh, and of course there’s three days of absolutely sensational music. An amazing cross-section of the best of the past forty years is represented, including The Specilas, Beverkey Knight, Keane, and the institution called The Beach Boys.
Younger visitors will be entertained by everything from Bhangra Dance & Tatty Bumpkin Yoga to the regular Graffiti Wall Street Show. The Riverside & Caffe Nero Stages will showcase the local Oxfordshire scene along with tomorrow’s top talent and the legends that are Stackridge.
This is Cornbury’s 16th. Nestling in the rolling hills of the Cotswold countryside, the Great Tew Estate is one of Oxfordshire’s most beautiful and ancient sites.

Last year we sold every seat in the restaurant – it was totally delicious and the feasters’ feedback was incredible.’
Hairy Bikers Si King and Dave Myers have been cooking together for more than 20 years, travelling the world in the pursuit of great food. The stars of a string of hit television shows, and regulars on BBC One’s Saturday Kitchen, they have become the UK’s most popular cookery writing duo.
The Cornbury Festival is one of the UK’s ‘cleanest, cosiest’ boutique festivals. It’s family-orientated, with something for everyone.
