Simon Amstell, Katherine Ryan and Bill Bailey announced for the alternative stage at Reading Festival

Huge comedy names have been announced for the alternative stage at Reading Festival this year.

Simon Amstell, Katherine Ryan and Bill Bailey will all perform stand-up acts during the three-day event, as well as Seann Walsh, Josie Long and Joe Lycett.

Simon Amstell is one of the most talked about comedians of the moment, Simon Amstell heads to Reading and Leeds off the back of his hugely successful 2017. His performance at this year’s festival is set to be as thought provoking as it is hilarious.

Bill Bailey returns to The Alternative Stage. Known for his astounding musical knowledge that saw him become a panel show staple, he’ll be delighting audiences when his unique and much loved show.

Katherine Ryan will entertain the crowds at R&L with her razor-sharp pop culture critique. After the recent success of her Netflix show, ‘Katherine Ryan: In Trouble on Netflix’ her set will leave you laughing for hours after.

Seann Walsh, Josie Long and Joe Lycett have also been named for acts on the comedy stage for 2017

Saturday tickets are sold out , but you can still get your hands on Friday and Sunday day tickets, and weekend passes.
