Reading’s annual Beer and Cider Festival is back, organised by The Campaign for Real Ale, will take place on 27th-30th April 2017.
Real ale and cider lovers everywhere will delight in the offerings of the Reading Beer and Cider Festival, which will be returning for its 22nd year running this April at Christchurch Meadow, Caversham! This year’s event is set to be the best ever with over 500 real ales and 150 real ciders from across the UK, and a fine selection of locally produced products taking centre stage. An impressive selection of European beers will also be available, alongside a fantastic range of English wines from local estate, Stanlake Park, and other vinyards across the country.
Reading Beer and Cider Festival started life in 1994 as an indoor event at the Trade Union Club in Chatham Street, Reading. In 1995 due to issues with the venue no festival was staged. The event returned in 1996 as an outdoor event at the present location of King’s Meadow. Since then the festival has become one of the largest beer festivals in the UK. Our beer and cider ranges exceeds that of many other large beer festivals in the country.
The festival is also proud to present a large number of local music acts on Friday and Saturday’s to add an additional element to the fun atmosphere.
Other attractions include festival games, various stalls, a good range of food outlets and a family orientated day on Sunday with a range of family orientated entertainment.
